Tag A Dolphin - Win Great Stuff!
     Look what you could win...
Anglers who tag five or more dolphinfish in one year and captains whose vessel tags 10 or more dolphinfish in one year will receive a program t-shirt recognizing them for their contribution to the Dolphinfish Research Program. Individuals who report a tag recovery also receive a program t-shirt. Since program shirts are not available for purchase, anyone wearing a program shirt identifies them as a participant in the scientific research of dolphinfish.
At the end of each year awards are presented to the boats and individual tagging the most fish. Four Shimano TLD 50s on Star Standup rods are given to the top taggers. These awards are given to the private boat, top charter boat, individual angler tagging the most fish each year. The fourth award goes to the boat tagging the most dolphin in areas other than the east coast of Florida.
The year end awards are made possible through the generosity of the Don Coffey Company with Shimano Tackle and Sea Striker Tackle Company with Star Rods who have sponsored these awards since 2003. These conservation minded businesses recognize the importance of dolphinfish to the offshore blue water fishery and the need for proactive research before dolphin stocks decline.
Fishermen are asked to show their appreciation for these companies and all the businesses, organizations and individuals who support this important research program. Support those who seek to insure the future health of dolphinfish stocks.
